When do expect WVU players to decide what their plans are? I can’t imagine too many teams have open spots. My guess is they need to verify if they have a landing spot and if that looks better. If one of their key players leave the rest may follow

“That roster is now completely up in the air. NCAA rules provide student-athletes a 30-day extension to enter the transfer portal after a coaching change. So even though the transfer window has closed for undergraduates, several players on the roster can still leave. The two biggest names will likely be Edwards and Kriisa, neither of whom needs a waiver as a first-time transfer and both of whom could start at nearly any program in the country.”

Has anyone heard what Kriisa is like in the locker room?

I don't really think he's a locker room issue. I'm pretty sure he just likes to rile up opposing fanbases by blowing them kisses and talking !!!!.

I know a lot of the Zona fanbase dislikes him because he's a defensive liability (just not a laterally quick athlete) and can struggle to penetrate offensively. Then offensively he can have a tendency to chuck a lot of 3s and go very cold.

I think Illinois would be stupid not to pursue because they still don't have a PG and he has the ability to shoot. However i could see a downside and you could probably argue his high assist totals is simply the product of being the primary ball handler on some extremely talented rosters in an up tempo system. It's not that hard to get assists when you're playing with Mathurin, Koloko, Tubelis, Terry, Ballo, and Ramey.

That dude's a headcase - want nothing to do with him. Zero chance we will want to repeat last year with adding toxic, me-first dudes to the locker room.

Staff would much rather ride with Rodgers and DGL all day.
I still remember how much of a d**k he was when zona came to SFC..............The whole zona team had a d**kness about them......

I am a hard pass on his addition to the Illini........JMHO...................

If I can talk myself into Mulcahey, I can talk myself into Krissa.

My only concern is that if Brad thinks his seat is hot and/or is looking for his next landing spot when the carousel starts up, I’d hate for him to make a risky addition because he feels it raises the ceiling if everything lands in a small Goldie locks zone of “just right”.

So how often do you and the staff talk about roster construction?? I’m guessing that the staff would rather have a proven experienced PG like every other team in the nation but who knows….

If we're going into the season with Rodgers and DGL as our only PGs ...that's a complete roll of the dice.

Do you have any links to what Krissa did for you to call him a headcase?

It's the staff's job to mold teams and give them an identity. If they think that he's a fit, then he's a fit.

Not adding Kriisa just because you don’t like his personality when we desperately need a PG is just the absolute incorrect take.
I would hardly characterize the role of "locker room cancer" as a "personality." Team dynamics should absolutely come into play when making roster construction decisions.

I don't know how big of a concern this is. But it's certainly a legitimate one, if true.

So he's basically a merging of Matthew Mayer and Andre Curbelo except he's also a bad defender? Call me crazy but I think we'd be stupid to pursue.

I understand the need for a steady PG but there's a major downside to putting the ball in the hands someone erratic. We want decisions and shots being made/taken by our best players and not having them held hostage by the whims of our PG.
