For this very reason the staff should know not to put all their eggs in one basket.I agree with this take. Ultimately you can’t control a kid who is looking for money. The charade is over so now let’s get back to work.

Well maybe you should say fortunately he’s not our best hope? Either way this is disappointingHe most certainly is not, unfortunately
Ayo wasn't really a PG.While we're on the subject of point guards. I think having continuity at the position is an important thing. For a pg to be really really effective, he has to know his teammates and his teammates have to know him... that rarely happens over the course of one summer. And we won't get to benefit from any kind of pg continuity until 2025 or 2026.
Here are our starting pg's since Ayo:
2022 - Belo, Trent
2023 - Clark, Epps
2024 - unknown transfer
2025 - maybe DGL?
More than missing on a single transfer pg, this is my concern. Revolving door.
If "Trey" Woodbury's J lives up to his name, snag him.

2 freshman guards left us recently, one of which quit after only half a season. Is that thirsty and gross? How? If staff
it wasn’t long ago when all of Illini nation was clutching their pearls over crean’s shameful lack of integrity. Somehow it’s now ok for us? You are that thirsty? Gross
Statistically he looks like a good fit and is a real point guard. 4.7 assists and 40% from three. If "Trey" Woodbury's J lives up to his name, snag him.
I think you missed my point. Anyone can be a walk-on for enough NIL money. I'd rather we do that than Crean someone already on the rosterWilliams ain’t no walk-on the kid needs more respect on here. Is he a world beater? No. But he comes with little baggage/drama and will work his tail off. Doesn’t mind to play second fiddle and push the ball around the court to scorers.
But it should not have come to that!!! If we had other players just as good who wanted to play for us, why would you wait and take the chance of a situation happening that just happened???Not much when you can do when:
Kid makes a promise
Kid goes behind your back and goes on another college visit
You up the NIL (Highest by far for any of the schools)
Get kids family behind Illinois
Kid still goes somewhere else
If you say so.Ayo wasn't really a PG.
These days, there's a decent chance he ends up here eventually. /sJeremy Fears is looking pretty darn good now. But no... y'all insisted the Clark brothers were the way to go. How comical it's all turning out to be.
No link but do you think it was a coincidence that he committed the day after Flagler announced?Link?
How you doing, Mrs. Fears?Jeremy Fears is looking pretty darn good now. But no... y'all insisted the Clark brothers were the way to go. How comical it's all turning out to be.

Yep, Brad asked Illinois Loyalty and we said Clark brothers all the way, and he listened. We deserve this.Jeremy Fears is looking pretty darn good now. But no... y'all insisted the Clark brothers were the way to go. How comical it's all turning out to be.

Yes.Regarding Woodbury…Never heard of him. Just watched highlight video of him. I think he could be a great fit given the talent that’s surrounding him. Played for Utah valley… is this the same team that Harmon was on?
