I believe we are now 21-6 lifetime vs the MAC but boy you would never think it. No matter the scoreboard these always seem five times more stressful than they should be. When we play a MAC program we always seem to play like a MAC program.
Homecoming victories are nice, even if we haven't gone anywhere yet. And covering the spread against a MAC team happened despite an unreal number of penalties. I'd love to know what made our guys so flinchy before the snap. Were the Chips skirting the line on simulating the snap count or something?
Half way to a bowl, 3-0 I will definitely take it. A lot to clean up to be a good football team, but moving in the right direction as a program with a lot of pieces in place. The first half FGs really kept this from getting away from us I believe. On to the B10!
I like the "rope a dope" strategy of softening up the defense with the big backs and using Valentine in the fourth quarter when his speed and quickness are even more effective against a tired defense. It wins games.
