3) This Texas game is an absolutely HUGE opportunity for us. Unless Mizzou shocks Kansas and is ranked by the time of Braggin' Rights, this will likely be our last game vs. a top 25 opponent until we host Indiana on January 19th. While there will be plenty of opportunities for signature wins in Big Ten play, beating Texas provides us a HUGE cushion for national perception and our Tournament resume - pretty much the opposite of last year, where we had to win quite a few games to get back into the top 25. After tonight, we will likely be favored in every single game from now until January 28th when we travel to Madison. A win tomorrow night provides such invaluable momentum ... hate to be dramatic, but if we lose tomorrow night, we stay the course and keep just trying to string together wins and get better. If we win tomorrow night ... we are playing for a 1-seed until proven otherwise. I won't get too worked up by a loss, but MAN this is a huge opportunity!
We won (booya- Horns down!). Thankfully we harvested an excellent win and can enjoy watching other teams splash around looking for an equal quality win. Unfortunately, they have their eyes on us. This young team will be targets moving forward. I hope the guys at that the top can hold the rudder (Hawkins, TSJ, Mayer, RJ). Who knows, Epps might end up as the teams coxswain.

Side note, I hate the Maryland got to revel in a victory against us (again). I don’t like losing to teams away from SFC that I know we could handle at home.
