Sneaking into the tournament is still a real possibility - we had a brutal draw for our first 3 conference matches, but we’re still probably a middle-of-the-pack conference team. However even if we do sneak into the tournament, I still think Whitman has to consider making a change. We can’t seem to recruit at a high level anymore and it’s showing when we face good teams.

Perhaps a new 10,000 seat arena to house volleyball, hockey, and women's basketball.
Hmmmm, give some examples of schools that have just such a facility....... I'm curious if that is wishful thinking, or within the realm of possibility.

I just realized I want for this to be a reality...but we need resources for football and basketball...so why do I feel dirty...?

To be fair, I'm not sure you even need 10,000 for an arena like this. My initial vision of what this facility could look like would be a 7,000 seat arena like Northern Iowa's MacLeod Center or Drake's Knapp Center. I know both of those are the primary arenas for Missouri Valley programs, but I think 7,000 is a sweet spot in terms of capacity for an arena housing these types of teams in a Power 4 conference.

I can’t throw the coaching staff under the bus after watching tonight’s sweep at Michigan. We just played smarter the whole night. Michigan refused to try high hands and we just out-blocked them something silly like 15-3. Raina, Avery, and Brooke just always craftier. Fun dominant performance. WTG ladies!
That’s actually a really impressive road sweep. Going into the game, Michigan was 13-2 with both of their losses being 5-setters on the road to good teams. Let’s see if the ladies can build off that.
