Kids these days!I asked my grandson what IDK means. He replied, "I don't know."
So I asked my granddaughter. She didn't know either.
I'm not sure if they made him that or if that's what he's comfortable doing. I lean towards the latter. Some guys for whatever reason don't thrive getting into the lane, while for some it almost comes naturally (eg Curbelo). I don't think it's that easy to develop that at 19 or 20 years old.Excited to see Boswell in a different role than when at Arizona, they basically just made him catch and shoot.
Illinois Basketball: How Kylan Boswell Can Become an Elite Point Guard
Illinois basketball guard, Kylan Boswell, has to take the next-step in his developmentarmchairillini.com
I’m thinking non-public school don’t report that info or don’t have to.Also, how is Dook not on this list?
And that's 17 with KJ projecting as the 9th option with 8 minutes per game. ( again, the model he uses makes it difficult to project international prospects with no game data). If instead he produces at an all-B1G level, the siys the limit for this team.Torvik tweaked some things...
Illinois was one of the biggest gainers. We moved up 27 spots from 44 to 17.
Is that a hunch or an observation? His high school profile had him listed as a point guard, not a shooting guard, not a combo. His high school scouting reports don't seem to mention anything about catch and shoot.I'm not sure if they made him that or if that's what he's comfortable doing. I lean towards the latter. It's an general observation on types of players, not on Boswell himself. Did his H.S. scouting reports mention that he liked to penetrate, was good at getting in the lane and making things happen? One can still be an effective PG w/o those qualities. Is that a hunch or an observation? His high school profile had him listed as a point guard, not a shooting guard, not a combo. I knew they’d update eventually, 17 seems a lot more accurateTorvik tweaked some things...

This is from a scouting report after one year at AZ:It's an general observation on types of players, not on Boswell himself. Did his H.S. scouting reports mention that he liked to penetrate, was good at getting in the lane and making things happen? One can still be an effective PG w/o those qualities.
When I see a player with his kinds of stats, I suspect that he does not thrive on getting into the lane. That may or may not be the case with him.
Over wood?Even more so if you start out with under wood.
You couldn’t have watched not one Arizona game!!! He played on a team with one of the biggest ball hogs in basketball in Caleb Love. They didn’t allow him to play his gameIt's an general observation on types of players, not on Boswell himself. That just means you can't use the tool to alter the roster. The projection is based on the listed roster distribution. Overall not an awful distribution, but KJ is going to get about 20 more minutes per game, probably at the expense of Kylan, Ty and Tre projected minutes.Tweet says that rostercast is going to be a mess for a while.
Tre White? We have an interesting “problem” this year. A bunch of Alpha-wired guys who have come here expecting to start for this team. Boz, Humrichous, Riley, and KJ weren’t brought here to be bench guys. Ty as the only returning starter and program guy likely expects to start as well. That’s 5 five guys “starting” and we haven’t added the center yet (I expect Tomi or perhaps Rez). However, as it has been said countless times, Brad doesn’t care about who is starting.
My guess is it will all shake out in practice and may change several times throughout the year. I can see 8 guys getting significant minutes (20ish) with perhaps 2 others getting spot minutes on the regular and possibly 1-2 guys getting over 30 minutes per game.
Love's ball hogging didn't prevent Boswell from launching a fair number of 3-pt shots. You couldn’t have watched not one Arizona game!!! He played on a team with one of the biggest ball hogs in basketball in Caleb Love. They didn’t allow him to play his game
I'm interested to see if we'll be ranked to start the season. Does media use this type of tool when putting their first ballots out there in late October? And that's 17 with KJ projecting as the 9th option with 8 minutes per game.
