Have MM at SFC.....maybe get some Snoop or REO.......get former Illini....Ayo.....Meyers L....BP......Kendall, Deon, Deron....maybe even Dee......try to include big donors....maybe even Shad or Jimmy J..........top it off with Heff and his entourage ........get several recruits in and have the place rocking.....maybe get local bars /restaurants to chime in with discounted deals and you got yourself one hell of an event

Hate to break it to you but Heff's entourage is marching through hell these days. Died in 2017.

What's shocking to me until I just ask this question on here, about :"when is Midnight Madness" only to hear they haven't had it for years and no plans of doing one (since no date was publicly announced after looking for it everywhere) and preseason starting in 25days. Yet you have a team and program that is excelling, 1)coming off a Big 10 championship 2)The best player in the Big10 coming back in Kofi 3)College Magazine states, one of the top point guards out there in Curbelo 4) NBA drafted AYO (alumni) a stones throw away. 5)Supposedly the biggest fan base (more then Kentucky & other blue bloods schools) and Midnight madness is treated like it's not like a big deal??? Even 2 of our new assistant coaches came from programs that have Midnight Madness. Biggest college in the state and nothing??. One last thing it is the best recruiting tool for basketball players, they are not coming to see football games,(and leave their official visit excited) they want to see the fit for themselves by seeing the fan support for BASKETBALL and basketball event (midnight dunk contest or 3 point shooters)
Again hope this doesn't get pushed under the rug this year and have to hear the old company line (we have to do this next year, for sure)
I'm just stating my 2 cents and hope this fan base takes this seriously and push to do something..

Josh Whitman your table is ready.....we can surely do this well, someday before the exhibition would be perfect, $20-$5 tickets depending on the level is fair...easy sellout, I'm going.

My last word on this MM......We will/should have it......and we will have an awesome 3pt and dunk contest. Award ceremony for our All Americans with Ayo present with Kofi. Then we announce the team Big Time with the lights......then a short scrimmage. Afterwards get together with the fans....pictures, autographs it makes sense and will build momentum for the program.
