Have we heard anything about Kofi’s eligibility for this season? He’s 100% cleared? I remember some speculation because he sold his merch before the NIL deal was signed.

I don't think there has been any word, yet.

Yes hopefully they will grandfather him back....he will be a face of the season, why start his season with bad press when he might be player of the year?
This could get really interesting...in a not so great way

If the NCAA goes after Kofi for selling his stuff prior to the NIL, the people in Kofi's camp need to push back with legal action. Maybe, just maybe, Justice Kavenaugh's warning to the NCAA could be revisited sooner rather than later. Threatening such legal action may be just enough to give the NCAA pause. Do not, I repeat, do not take the paper tiger that is the NCAA seriously. The institution is bleeding and threats of legal action at this time is something they want no part of.

One would think the NCAA would know the optics of fighting Kofi on this would look really poor (and that's not even getting into the legal aspect), but then again that hasn't stopped them from making one dumb decision after another for decades on end, and years on end as it specifically concerns NIL. If it seems prudent to grant a waiver, I full expect them to do the opposite.

Yea going after a NPOY frontrunner for something petty like that would be a very unwise move for them given the current climate.
