So the bad juju of me watching my first baseball game of the year against Michigan in the BTT didn't carry over in person tonight.

The pessimist in me asks, "Do we have enough pitching?"
I just went back and looked at 2015, when we had 7 guys with an ERA of 3.35 or better --- led by closer Tyler Jay at 1.08 (14 saves).

2015 was an outlier in Illini baseball history. They were one of the 10 best teams in the country and one of the 2-3 best Big 10 teams this century. It's almost unfair to compare any other team to them.
The standard here is to finish near the top of the Big 10 and hopefully make the tournament. This team has already done that.
What’s this mean TV wise?
That Illini team started the season unranked but started hot. They were ranked 15-20, for most of the season but went on a streak the last 4-5 weeks of season to end up at #2.
They rolled through the regional and then faced a very talented Vandy team that had underperformed during the season. Believe they had 3 top 15 MLB draftees. As good as Tyler Jay was, Vandy had 2-3 pitchers who were considered higher MLB prospect pitcher.
This was like Illinois basketball facing UCONN in the Elite 8.
Still ESPN+ as far as I know.
