I’m going to have to pause this for a bit and come back. Just absolutely frustrating. We are making Kansas look like a CFP top 10 team all of the sudden. And I love ice cream but this !!!! is pure vanilla on O and D.
Disappointing...
Terrible play calls by Lunney, Altmeyer can’t see players that are open or throw with anticipation. Welcome back Illinois football. Same story, different year. I hate being a realist sometimes.

It’s the QB. If your QB is afraid throw, you’re not going to be successful. His best ball was when he threw without fear of interception because he thought the flag would be thrown for offside. This is Wes Lunt Syndrome. THROW THE DAMN BALL!

Looking at that coverage it was the playcall. Everyone ran a simple 5yd route that was covered. Absolutely nobody was open

Not necessarily. This game was always going to be a big ask. Plenty of teams on our schedule where we aren't buried talentwise like we are out there today.
