Wow usually it's us giving up a steal and a layup at the end of the half. This has actually been fun to watch. Finke is out of his mind. Keep feeding him.

Doing what we should do against a really young team with their star laboring. Good to see

That was terrible defense by black to end the half. Why do our players get burned on D all the time?

If you just read this thread, you'd think we were *down* by 16 at half, not up by 16 ;)

We've changed our game plan. This time we didn't give up a steal, just an easy layup.

Be ready. It's going to be the Jok half of a lifetime. I don't care how young this team is, Jok has been consistently bringing this team back from defeat all year. So as per usual, let's see what adjustments our leader makes for the second half.

I know this is just Iowa, but Groce should give more time to the players who actually play better. Who knows where this team would be this year if he had done that earlier

Yeah. Need to shorten the bench. And Tate needs to be on the end.

The only thing that could make the second half more fun would be to see the top of Fran's head actually come off and fly around the building.

Yeah with Jok hurt they are real bad
I feel bad for Jok.

The guy was overlooked in high school and probably deserved more attention than he got after his injury. Now in his senior campaign in what should be his for-realsies NBA audition, he's hurt again. It's too bad, because he's a dynamic, fun player to watch.

We were recruiting him early. I think he's from Des Moines and got injured

Yeah, he was getting high-major and even blue chip attention and then got hurt. Most programs bailed on him except for Iowa. And here we are today.

For all the complaining, it seems like Groce had a set sub pattern for the game (1st half at least). Tate is backing up Tejon and Tracy backing up JCL. He subs in the seniors together shortly before tv timeouts to maximize rest. Probably shouldn't have done the first one at 16:30 with how hot they were... But pre-planned thoughtful sub patterns might be better than Groce's best "play it by ear".
