Just mind boggling. There was zero reason to switch things up. Be flexible with your in game subs dude. Insane

Is Groce trying to get himself out of Illinois? Why would u take Lucas out? Better question: Why would you bring 2 struggling PG's in?

Abrams is so terrible. I literally don't think he can stay in front of ANYBODY anymore.

I know Groce is trying to play a deep bench because Iowa does but subbing on after 3 minutes was too quick. The drop off from TJL and JCL to Abrams and Tate is just too steep. You can't have Abrams/Tate on the court at the same time because neither can shoot right now.

They played together for what seemed to be a large part of the game against Michigan. I cannot make a logical argument for them being on the court at the same time.

Indeed, this is a combo which makes zero sense.

Of all the idiotic substitutions we've seen this year that might have been the worst . Everything is running smooth, defense was good offense was great and we effectively throw out the anchor . Is he TRYING to get fired????

the reffing has already started to suck - bad call on Leron, missed call on Mav (swipe around from behind him), typical suckass Big Ten refs.

Groce obviously does not understand anything about game momentum

This is hilarious, TJL is killing it and immediately gets taken out. I don't know any coach that would take a player out that quick after starting him. What a joke.

Part of me wonders if he got low key hurt at some point this season. Because this isn't the same Abrams we were seeing earlier.

So let me guess Groce, your stat sheet that you base everything off of said that with a 10 poiont lead you need to sub the guys who got you the lead. Your unbelievable!!
