They called a “late hit” meaning they ruled him down when he gave himself up. So no, it’s not challengable.
If they picked up the flag, you could. Since they didn't pick up the late hit flag, they are saying the attempted late hit caused the fumble as the QB already gave himself up. Correct call would have been a fumble, no late hit or targeting.
