I like that 3 by Kipper. His guy backed off so Kipper punished him for it.

TJL's defense has been really, really impressive for a true freshman

My recollection, such as it is, from his recruitment days is that he was considered a pretty good on-ball defender at his position. Thinking his playing time suffered early on due to need to the learn team D. It is refreshing to see a frosh's effort on that end (along with KN) raise the rest of the team.

The way this team played in the second half against NW, and the way we're playing early right now.... if Illinois played like this earlier in the year the coaching carousel thread wouldn't have over 6,000 posts.

There wouldn't be such a thread.

Bold/maybe not so bold prediction: Kipper will be a b1g Poy candidate as a senior

Good start. The refs are allergic to calling fouls on Nebby, great defense to my eye but they will be getting to the line a lot if this keeps up.

I think that there would still be a thread, but it would be more as a passing curiosity. Just something to talk about.

Finke standing wide open at top of key forever while TA refuses to pass it to him. Nearly tosses it away on a pass to MH instead. By the time MF gets it he's grown roots and misses the shot.
