I watched every bit of his career, and the film is still amazing! How did he do that, especially without getting injured?

Have such a huge place in my heart for Payton. That famous run against the Chiefs was only for about 30 yards but considered one of the greatest runs in history. Went through almost all eleven guys on D, some more than once.

One of my dad's favorite stories to tell: he had the privilege of delivering Garcia's to Payton's hotel room when the Bears stopped in Champaign to practice in "the bubble" on their way to New Orleans for the '86 Super Bowl.
I served him his juices and various cereals at Jumer Castle Lodge that very same trip...got to speak with him for a few minutes...very kind of him...I have 2 footballs that I got signed by the whole team which was facilitated by McMahon...fantastic memories of a Bear fanatic...

Indeed, I still have family in the Bolingbrook, Lockport and Joliet are that I visit. Upon graduation from high school, I attended Lewis University for a year. Joined the military for what I thought was a 4-year hitch to complete my college degree and get valuable practical experience. Well 4 years turned into a 20-year career, completed my degree in aeronautics and saw the world. First duty assignment was Hawaii they held the pr-bowl back then there and in 1980 I know I am dating myself. I saw Walter and the Pro Bowl I was wearing his jersey and got his attention for an autograph. he motioned for me to take it off I did and tossed it to him, and a sharpie and he signed it. It is underclass on the wall in my sports room to this day.

I'm leaning to 15ish snaps...gotta get some game experience...don't want to start 0-4 again...
Not sure I would play him all if the O-line is still having issues blocking I would wait until they had better time to become a more cohesive unit. Last thing you want i some soon to be insurance trying to make a roster a name for himself and deliver a costly hit on your newly number one drafted star in the making QB
