Gotta say, the fact that after he did that he was able to sit back down, watch the rest of the show, accept an award and give a speech justifying his actions and apologizing to pretty much everyone except Chris Rock, and get a standing ovation. Just yikes. Not a good look for the Academy or Hollywood.Thats, uhh......that's not cool, Will.
I may get blasted for saying this, but I get a Juwan Howard vibe from this whole thing.Gotta say, the fact that after he did that he was able to sit back down, watch the rest of the show, accept an award and give a speech justifying his actions and apologizing to pretty much everyone except Chris Rock, and get a standing ovation. Saw that, certainly was better than his acceptance speech apology. Still did sneak in his defense/justification. Clearly will face no actual reprecussions, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Will Smith did publicly apologize in a statement he posted to his Instagram earlier today.

Excited to see this as I really liked Swiss Army Man. Side note, I recently found out that the directors of this also directed the music video for "Turn Down for What" which I guess I had never seen before. Well, now that I've seen it, I can say it is definitely something."Everything Everywhere All At Once" was one of the best film viewing experiences I've ever had.
That's kind of the impression I've been given by a couple of people who saw it. Moody acting and visuals, light on story. I'll wait for streaming I think.I'm mixed in my reaction to The Northman. Felt similar to Eggers other works where it is clearly an artistic passion piece that left me with a visceral response that I'm uncertain how it'll settle once the dust of the credits settles.
There were aspects of the storyline I did not like. I think it’s just cause it breaks the nostalgia factor of what was established through End Game.Sam Raimi's "Doctor Strange in and Multiverse of Madness" was something.
Still trying to make sense of how I feel about it, but it felt like a standalone film in the MCU. NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour broke down one of my hopes for the future of the MCU in that they hope the multiverse becomes more of a story than the current device it is being utilized as.

I remember having very specific feelings about it at the time, but don’t remember the music or those feelings right now, if that makes sense.I think the multiverse was a bit of a red herring in this film. Or at least the way the trailer made it seem the multiverse was going to be used. In this one the multiverse was just used more as a gimmick than anything else.
They were also billing it as more of a horror style film but it didn't really feel like it. Or maybe it's just the MCU's version of horror I guess.
Ian and Illinoissssvarsity, what did you think of the music played when the big reveal was made of a certain character? (Not wanting to spoil it too much for those on here that haven't seen it but it's the scene, in the trailer, where Strange appears in front of that council)
Admittedly my response was more neutral. I have a general knowledge of that character's background, without any major emotional ties, so it was more just a cool thing to see than anything else.I remember having very specific feelings about it at the time, but don’t remember the music or those feelings right now, if that makes sense.

Agree totally. I have the 4K disc coming shortly. Plan on taking it in a few more times soon."Everything Everywhere All At Once" was one of the best film viewing experiences I've ever had.
I was falling asleep because I was tired, not because I think the movie was bad. I’m gonna have to rewatch it."Everything Everywhere All At Once" was one of the best film viewing experiences I've ever had.
