Egor Demin is a really good player, better than almost anyone we could have gotten this offseason if he comes

Oh , I agree.....I was just remembering some of the greats from a different era a long long long time ago.

I would have a different roster if I was doing an all time list.....I really really would....

If.... is the main word in that sentence. It seems way easier to get a guy in the portal and avoid the endless red tape and headaches of VISAs, NIL, foreign handlers, admissions and transcripts of international students. And then the hope they don't get homesick. I do trust BU and love what he has done for the Beloved. Just seems that this year's portal has had some very strange twists and turns. Can't wait to see the 24-25 Illini and watch them play for rings and banners. I have no doubt they will with this staff.

Oh and what if I told you European 2 is a perceived NBA lottery pick?

This version of college basketball is dead to me. The fanatics and students will continue to care but they are going to lose the majority of fans. At least last years team had a few familiar faces. I am sure I will watch some games but there will be no emotional investment from me. How could there be. It’s fantasy basketball where you control nothing.

Other staffs get paid well to win recruitments and have money to give as well.

Underwood & staff have earned the benefit of the doubt that they will ID talent, pivot well in recruiting and make changes as needed to win games.

Wish we could fast forward a month though.
