Damn. Couldn’t have said it betterThank you, Trent. You were the one that started it... the road back up to level that Illini ball always belongs. The cold weather didn’t scare you off. The challenge ahead for the program didn’t scare you off. The work you had to put in on yourself didn’t scare you off. That some big Alphas joined The Beloved didn’t scare you off. That you had to park your ego in favor of Team didn’t put you off.
All you wanted to do was to make the Orange and Blue... and yourself... proud. And you did it.
You’ve been a ray of Florida sunshine upon the once barren lands of Illini Nation. God bless, and all the best. Via Con Dios, Amigo.
My guess is if he does play in the NCAA next year, he’ll be playing closer to home.
Seems that way. It would probably seem weird, and might even sting a little on some level. But after all that kid has given to Illinois basketball, I'll root for him in any uniform, any time.My guess is if he does play in the NCAA next year, he’ll be playing closer to home.
He's an all time favorite. He changed his game to make the team better. Selfless players like Trent, DMW and Giorgi made this season possible.Trent Frazier will always be the heart and soul of this particular era of Illini basketball.
