It’s evident from these highlights the 3-pt shooting would have been better had they worn their sunglasses…

How sweet was that pass from Moretti at the beginning?
I know I've said this before but I really hope Moretti sticks with the program though I don't think he will get much playing time this year.

I think he will end up being a really good player as an upper classman and is the textbook example of a guy who used to sit and learn but those guys are transferring out a lot now.

Could be the skilled pg type that shoots 40+% from 3 which is not a type of player Illinois has had lately.

I know it's only one game, but 3 pt shooting and freethrow shooting is a HUGE concern, same as last year.
Good lord do we have the biggest “the sky is falling “ fan base in America? And we have all these basketball experts that can see a box score from a game played in a 7 hour time difference after a 10 hour flight and know what our Achilles heal will be all year long. R-E-L-A-X

shooting poorly from three, poor free throw shooting youll have that. 21 turnovers that is one thing good defense cant stop! easy transition baskets

Illinois then turned up its defense with the unit of Dainja, Harris, junior Luke Goode, senior Justin Harmon, and freshman Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn leading the charge.

There we go, there are the starters and finishers.

I wouldn't take all that much from this yet as they were likely playing around with lineups to see team chemistry, though I will say that I do somewhat buy the Harris-Harmon tandem as an energy line pairing when we find ourselves in situations where we're down 10 and need to both rest our starters and get a change of momentum. I'm not as sold on Dain or DGL being part of that momentum line when it gets to season, but time will tell for sure.
