Oregon game (Oct. 26th): 2:30pm CT, CBS

#3
Two straight weeks on CBS at 2:30. Great opportunities to get a huge win on a grand national stage. So much better than be relegated to BTN or ESPNU (back in the day where we could play on Disney-owned networks). Going to get some of the best commentating in the business...so refreshing.

My wedding ceremony starts at 5 pm. This is either getting recorded and watched later or watch the beginning of a probable blow out and not worry about the rest.
Timing, dude.

I remember being best man at my Illini buddy's wedding in 1982. We were able to watch most of the game at his house, then listen to the end on the way to the ceremony. Mike Bass split the Camp Randall uprights with the game winning kick just as we pulled into the church parking lot (with another groomsman standing there with his arms raised signaling GOOD!). Illinois 29 - Wisconsin 28. Ah, memories.

Congratulations, by the way!

We need someone like the Allstate Mayhem guy at blackdog's wedding (minus the destruction to property of course).

Thanks! We're getting married at the I-hotel and have season tickets so had to pick an away game. This seemed the best option.

I hope we wear as much orange as possible, for the ultimate color clash with their neon green.
We have been told to wear blue as their fans will be wearing yellow. I'm conflicted because we don't seem to play as well in blue and most of my Illini gear is orange. Any suggestions on how I should handle this?

I’m wearing orange. It clearly identifies you as an Illini. People wear blue as a matter of regular dress so it doesn’t stand out. Not so for orange. If my Oregon friend wears yellow we will look like a highlighter set.

I just ordered an orange and a gray Illini shirt, so will make it a game-time decision (though if the weather is as crappy as it's forecast to be, will have to go with the blue rain gear).

I've been thinking about that Bucks/Ducks game, especially the ending and what great gamesmanship by Oregon at the end. They ran the 12th man on at the end and sacrificed 5 yards for for precious time to tick off. I'm pretty sure it was intentional. If that was the case, just a great awareness of the rules. Just so long they didn't give up anything positive with an extra man up.

I wonder why teams don’t do 15 men on the field in that situation- why stop at 12?

Didn't really have a horse in this race but I feel that if there is a penalty such as what occurred in the last 2 minutes, the time should stay on the clock. That is just one man's opinion. I could be wrong here. Why penalize the offense when it is a defensive penalty? Just a thought going forward. Now if it happens to us, we will probably get a rule change :)
