Interesting that you have to pay to apply, but that definitely thins out the applicant pool.

The Masters should do the same so I can get a better chance šŸ˜‚

San Antonio Riverwalk during the Final Four is absolutely amazing. I really hope we all get to experience that with an Illinois appearance this year!

I just put in my ticket request so that means four teams that I hate will end up here next year. Sorry, y'all. šŸ˜‡

When do they do the lottery? Wanting to know how long my $$ will be tied up.
I didn't see it in the e-mail, but random google search found someone on reddit saying August, so take that for what it is worth. I have bought tickets to 1st weekend a couple of times (put in to get a notice for Raleigh this year) & once for second round & all I can remember is it seemed very early, so August seems about right.

Also sounds like everything will be upper level.

the year we were a number 1 seed with Ayo/Kofi I bought tickets to every possible sweet 16 and elite 8 game before the bracket was announced only for us to lose in the round of 32. took a huge loss on the tickets because the elite 8 teams that year were random.. i think there were 3 PAC12 schools

i will never buy NCAAT tickets ahead of time again

I did this for the Elite 8 games that year too (and lost a bunch of $). I still can't believe we lost in the second round with 2 All Americans on the team

Has been this way for decades. Always amazed me that they could get the public (including me, several times) to go for this. And from a business and public relations perspective, it is very impressive.

I work with a lot of Purdue alumni. This year at the final 4 to fill the UConn sections they gave away free tickets to students if they wore a whit shirt and filled the UConn sections.
