NBA/Pro/International Basketball

Does this move the needle up for the Bulls? I've very little time or interest invested in the NBA as a whole and the Bulls are maybe 1 notch above that, entirely because of Ayo (and now TSJ). Am I wrong in thinking the only reason this is worth talking about is because of the connection these 2 have in the college/recruiting ranks, as opposed to anything of material value NBA wise????

You're probably not wrong. On the other hand, I'm a Bulls fan; I'm an Ayo fan, and at one point I was hoping to be a THT fan. Now I can be.

I can respect that Bosky! They are now co-workers, whatever differences they had if there ever really were any, shouldn't matter anymore.

How ironic that Ayo and THT will be donning the same uniform and be on the same team. I remember going back to that whole recruitment process and how Ayo's decision resulted in THT going elsewhere. Looking back, it worked out mostly well for Illini Nation but it would've been really cool to see both of these guys in an Illini uniform. But, THT bolted after one season at Iowa St so he wouldn't have been in Champaign for very long anyways.

I think this is a good signing for the Bulls. Can always use some depth

You are correct. I still have the article saving somewhere that was going to be posted when THT committed to Illinois.

There was lots of rumbling out of iowa state that THT wasn't a great teammate. I'm glad he didn't come. All his focus was on NBA.

Know it probably should be in another thread but I see the Bulls signed THT, doesn't Arturas know you can't do have him and Ayo on the same team!

That would make sense since he bolted after his freshman year despite not being considered a lottery pick. He was drafted in the middle of the 2nd round when he should've stayed and he probably wouldn't benefited from another year in college. He is an NBA talent though so he made the decision that was best for himself. Ayo was definitely more patient with the process and we got a 3rd year out of him when arguably, he should've only been here for 2 yrs. We got the better guy at the end of the day
