Imagine the margin of victory if Ditka were coaching.
Simple solution is to tell the kids the game is a movie. It has worked for me so far, but then again, I only have a toddler who likes the visuals on the tv screen.
Get them Illinois jammies and orange nerf basketballs, make it a theme party....
Also, if the kids enjoy it, you can tell them there will be about 30 sequels coming up in the next few months. You'll have them hooked!!

Larry HumesAnd you would see one Big 10 game a week on ABC (I believe). I lived in the Evansville, Indiana viewing area. As a result, I watched Joe Dean and SEC network game of the week on NBC. I saw a lot of Pete Maravich. In addition, Evansville Colloege was D2 power at the time. A majority of their road games were televised live, and the home games were telecasted on tape delay at 10:30 pm.
I can tell you with 100% confidence, this will not work for much longer. So enjoy it while you can.Simple solution is to tell the kids the game is a movie. It has worked for me so far, but then again, I only have a toddler who likes the visuals on the tv screen.

They're 7 and 5, so they have too much awareness for that but not enough to be really into sports yet. So I assert my authority to commandeer the TV for sports periodically (e.g., the Michigan game) but probably won't try too hard for a game against SIUE.Simple solution is to tell the kids the game is a movie.
