With the new additions, it looks like we’ll have a lot of talented pieces next year. It’s always interesting to see how they all fit. Not many would have predicted the elite 8 run in the fall last year. I’m looking forward to 2024- 2025.
Order I have learned to trust and put faith in:
1. God
2. Brad
3. My family

People need to trust Brad and Company. They know best. We are just spectators a d they are the experts. Never doubt an expert if you are a fan! Brad knows best! We should just shut up and listen!

I'm sure this won't be popular, but I remember people saying the same about Weber. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying Brad is anything like Bruce. I'm just saying blind loyalty is never correct. It's okay to have some level of healthy skepticism.

What good does that do and why is skepticism 'healthy'? Are you just going to stroke out if we don't get a 3 seed or better?

I mean, I have faith in the people running the program because of the results. No need to be 'skeptical' because at the end of the day it is just a favorite sports team of mine. I'm not going to go lose my mind if they fall short of expectations... it happens.

So, I guess the 'healthy skepticism' is for people who are going to overreact if things don't go as well as they'd hoped?

This is just how I look at things, so thought I'd share my perspective. If we have to guard ourselves with skepticism over something like this, then it may be time to reevaluate if it is the optimism that is unhealthy or if it is the tying your own happiness to the results of a sports team that is unhealthy.

Just my 2 cents.

We won't have any benefit of team chemistry, I expect a lot of matchup iso ball.
?? Last year was a lot of matchup iso ball, that's what booty ball is. But I suppose you're correct in expecting matchup iso stuff to continue. Brad has said as much in a recent presser - we will continue to look to exploit favorable matchups, and then if defenses double or rotate to compensate, we will look for open 3s off of that.

It's not blind loyalty to look at past results in order to predict future results. Now, you're right that some healthy skepticism is fine - there's plenty of room in the middle there were it seems reasonably logical to land - but there's a huge gap between that and blind loyalty. If someone wants to point to Brad's recent successes as reason for optimism, that seems like a fairly reasonable take to me.
