Most important to IL basketball (and I'm sure at the top of Brad's mind): Have we figured out which power 5 8th place team is most relevant yet?
I personally think Florida State is more relevant than either SJU or USC
I think maybe it’s 18-19 Illinois. Kind of quick to have such an overdeveloped superiority complex, no?Most important to IL basketball (and I'm sure at the top of Brad's mind): Have we figured out which power 5 8th place team is most relevant yet?

Fake it to make it.I think maybe it’s 18-19 Illinois. Kind of quick to have such an overdeveloped superiority complex, no?
How many couldn't help but read this in Michael Caine's voice?
It’s always seemed that Mayer was UNC’s to loseA couple UNC Twits I follow sure seem confident that Matt Mayer is theirs if he pulls out of the NBA Draft. It feels like a battle between IL and Carolina if that happens. I'd put my money on the Heels mostly because they'll likely offer more NIL $$$. But that shouldn't be too big of a deal. I think IL leads by a wide margin for Pete Nance. Just gotta hope his bloodlines don't keep him in the draft.
Cosign this entire post. Don’t worry about Nance staying in the draftA couple UNC Twits I follow sure seem confident that Matt Mayer is theirs if he pulls out of the NBA Draft. I suppose it's possible, but I have no idea why someone would skip it. You get exposure to scouts and executives. A few attendees will get invited to the NBA camp, which could lead to getting drafted. At minimum, you get run in some extremely high level pickup games. The speed of the pro game is the first thing players have to get used to. This will give them a taste of what it will be like. The only risk is injury, and that could happen working out with your college teammates. How long are we thinking until we hear more about the guys invited to the G-League camp? I'm sure they will go through the process no matter what but is it possible some of them just skip it since it won't lead to the draft?
We have, by far, the best record in the Big Ten over the last three seasons, and we are the CURRENT Big Ten champions. It’s not to soon for our fans to have a bit of swagger, and it’s WAY past time for our fans to stop waiting for the other shoe to drop.I think maybe it’s 18-19 Illinois. It's actually not out of place in Northern Michigan/WI/MN either. Though I don't believe that UMN-Duluth, UW-Superior, or Michigan Tech has a shot at Mayer. No offense at all to our Southern Illinois hillbillies, but maybe his mullet is better suited for the Carolinas.
Rumor says Nance coming back. If he does not withdraw, he goes to G League. I suppose we need to offer him something better than G League salary.Cosign this entire post. Don’t worry about Nance staying in the draft
What about offending us central Illinois hillbillies?Although I’m 3/4 bald I still think it would be a good look.No offense at all to our Southern Illinois hillbillies, but maybe his mullet is better suited for the Carolinas.
Well I guess now we know why @illini0440 hasn't been posting as often lately.Handling transfer portal a full-time job

Nice article by SR. It's great that Tyler is able to work with his dad and develop some coaching chops.
