I'd say he's a good athlete. Doesn't jump out as "freakish" to me, but I don't know who defines these things.
Depends on with or without shoes.6'5'', 6'9'' with the afro...
Sounds like DaMonte’s replacement. Lock down defenders shouldn’t be undersold. Actually have trouble seeing any frosh starting next year even if Kofi, Trent, and DaMonte leave. Belo, Ace, Grandy, Hawk, and Giorgi would be pretty solid. Big transfer would change that and still open time for 1-3 but love to see one starting as would have to better than we now have and they look pretty good. Here's the profile that describes him as an"athletic freak". This is back in May of last year.

Speculating that Melendez has zero impact on Burnett's decision. Those two are complementary pieces. I would think Nimari's concern is more about whether or not the National POY returns next season. (And that's not going to happen!)FWLIW, I'll be very surprised if Melendez's commitment has an impact on Burnett's decision. Then again, there's an infinitesimal chance I'm wrong.

A commitment to Illinois today ought to push him back down to the 150 range.Melendez made a big move in the recent 247 composite to #97. Look for him to make another move based on his Grind Session performance. Some people think that he could be top 50 before it's all said and done.

There is no basis for " Freak " discrimination in the Illini program...If a " Freak " helps win games then we should welcome Freaks with open arms....

I was dumbstruck with Illini BB and FB a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away from the beaten track....Being a brash youngster in the Free Love and hippie years of history , I find my relevance in life is to bring levity and amusement to the masses....If I can make someone smile with my discord then I have accomplished something in my life, whether perceived or not......
As far as your condiments to your morning Joe, remember it's not what you put into your mouth, but what comes out...

It was a dollar bill, he left change.....Haha, that's freakish. Is it true he once grabbed a quarter off the top of the backboard
Larry Bird does. I thought we were all in agreement on that?I'd say he's a good athlete. Doesn't jump out as "freakish" to me, but I don't know who defines these things.

That’s what this staff has been great at that the previous two weren’t. The kids we are getting are going the right direction unlike in the past. No one that started in the top ten that end up around 100.Melendez made a big move in the recent 247 composite to #97. Look for him to make another move based on his Grind Session performance.
