Yep, the academic "elitists" have been our own worst enemy through the years. Kudos to JW for breaking through some of that recently.

Start winning 6+ games a year and they’ll relax more …

Does it make it more difficult on certain kids ? Sure … But no reason to make it an excuse … Lot of kids that can qualify …

And for the record … They’ve made quite a few passes on guys for Bret already … But everyone just can’t get a pass on major academic issues … Achieving that recent GPA as a team was a big win for Bret with the academic people … The guys are putting in the work in the classroom …

Here it is btw...
Interesting. I chalked it up to "School A" isn't sure how to qualify "Course X" taken at "School B."

When I transferred from Northeastern Illinois to UIC I got a call from a counselor who went through my whole transcript from NEIU and basically picked apart every class I took and tried to match it to a required Gen Ed credit.

As far as I know there was no actual review, no communication between the schools, I basically just had to convince them they could carry over as Gen Ed requirements.

It was pretty messed up and I felt helpless during the whole process.

Fairly underwhelming start to the June visit/commitment season.

Seems to work pretty much that way for every school. My daughter (an athlete at Illinois) ended up transferring to NIU and they put her through the same process. went through every class looking for an equivilant of their own. I was really frustrated that Northern would not accept some credit from U of I.

This guy might be a little bit underrated tbh. Don't sleep on him as a "oh just a typical 3 star..."

We thought Malik Elzy was the guy that sort of fits the mold of "big WR" - he's 6"2, 200 - this guy's 6"4 200...

He's got great speed as well: "Ran junior 200-meter times of 23.00 and 23.10, per MileSplit. Added a 53.38 400-meter rep", according to 247 sports. Terrific in the physical tools department.

We seem like the frontrunner...right? Certainly Hope so. Would be a terrific add IMO to an already good WR room...

To put it in perspective. Lesroy Tittle is a 26 linebacker recruit whose best 200m is 22.8. That’s good speed for a linebacker
