The next RB pickup Chase Brown, twin brother of Sidney Brown rushed for 1509 yards his senior year and averaged 15.9 yards a carry on 98 carries. At WMU in limited playing time, he averaged over 5 yards a carry. I saw his film. He is pretty fast and quick and has good size and vision. I think this is a great pickup for next year since he has so sit out a year.

Has anyone posted any of chase brown’s highlights from either high school or wmu?

Did Chase get recruited by Fleck? Just curious if Chase was after Fleck or if he saw Fleck’s recruiting process first hand.

Can recruits visit the practices? As unofficial visits on their own? Or is it a dead period until...?

Pretty sure practices are open to everyone, which is why fans can go. And you know, if the coaches know you, what stops them from inviting you on the field to say hi, or into the office to hang out...

“What stops them from inviting you on the field to hi, or into the office to hang out...”.

Very easy answer: The NCAA. There’s no in-person contact allowed during the dead period.

It is no face-to-face contact. Recruits can come to public practices, can’t meet with coaches

Correct which would preclude an invitation to stop and say “hello” on the practice field or have a chat in an office, as was suggested.

Recruits can also make official campus visits as I’m told but again, zero face-to-face contact would be allowed .

They can visit... however they aren't allowed to speak to coaches face to face at all.
For example the ncaa cant stop recruits from coming to and observing training camp, as it is "open to the public".
However if the recruit decides to observe then that is all he is allowed to do *observe*
No speaking to coaches, no meetings, no let's go to the office and talk, no coaches giving campus tours..
Basically any and all contact with coaches or recruiters is strictly forbidden during the dead period.
In my opinion the dead period itself is very stupid.

Is this good

I would guess no unless he is moving the date up.

If he's delaying the announcement then that probably means he wants to take more visits. He had an OV to ASU scheduled the weekend he visited us that he had to cancel.

Also, Joe Moore says he will not be announcing his commitment on the 18th.

No bueno. Looks like he's taking another visit. ASU? Certainly not a death blow, but was hoping we had wrapped him up.
