They have a tough schedule coming up, but you can bet they will play hard and be competitive. Being a bit undersized in the B10 is their biggest challenge. If this women's team continues at the same pace, will this be the biggest 1 year BB turnaround in either men's or women's basketball.???
Almost all games on Big+. Well worth the 10 bucks a month to watch this team. They have a tough schedule coming up, but you can bet they will play hard and be competitive. Being a bit undersized in the B10 is their biggest challenge.
That doesn’t seem possible, unless they lost all their talent and new coach is a total disaster. What P5 school starts 0-10.As a side note - Dayton is 0-10 thus far this season after going 26-6 under Green last year.
Well, technically not only is Dayton not a P5 school/team, they're not a G5 either. The A10 is an "other" conference. That doesn’t seem possible, unless they lost all their talent and new coach is a total disaster. What P5 school starts 0-10.
Ah, I thought they were big east. Bizarre ”accomplishment” at any level nonetheless.Well, technically not only is Dayton not a P5 school/team, they're not a G5 either. The A10 is an "other" conference.
Dayton has a completely different roster from last season due to a bunch of seniors graduating and number transferred to new schools(Cook and Shoup-Hill to Illinois alone). Looks like Dayton has rotated 8 players this season and only 4 of them have played in each game. Top 2 scorers for Dayton average 13ppg and 10 ppg. They both averaged around 10 minutes a game during the 2021-2022 season. Pretty sure 3 of the 8 players in the Dayton rotation this season were around the 10-12 position off the bench last season. One of the younger teams in the nation and complete roster roulette in one years time. That doesn’t seem possible, unless they lost all their talent and new coach is a total disaster. What P5 school starts 0-10.
I think it is likely that we will continue to see quick turnarounds now that we have the transfer portal accompanied by immediate eligibility. Looking at our squad we wouldn't have Cook, Hill, Bryant or Ndour available this year under the old rules. That's about 40 points and 17 rebounds per game, as well as, both of our point guards:If this women's team continues at the same pace, will this be the biggest 1 year BB turnaround in either men's or women's basketball.???
Thanks for adding this, The Galloping Ghost. I have to say, it gives me chills seeing a postgame speech like that! Keep it up, ladies!
This is huge. Who would have expected Coach Green to be getting national recognition before the holidays in her first year? Feeling really good about this...
New year's day, 2pm, State Farm CenterLove the effort. Love the excitement. Love the results thus far.
As I anticipated, however, no votes yet in this week's AP rankings. Still just a bit early. We need to beat a top 25 team I do believe.
Thank you for the search. She is doing a great job. If she takes this team to the middle of the pack of the B10 in her 1st season with this team she deserves a little bump in pay.Contract comparison: How new Illini women's basketball coach's deal stacks up in Big Ten
