This is a great get! Brazil, Australia, Canada along with Brazil and Spain last year. Plus 2 USA Mcdonald AAs. And a couple Illinois girls. Alves looks really aggressive and she's a coaches daughter.

That is great recruiting class with 3 bigs. I was less than impressed with transfer portal but Shauna appears to know what she is doing.

Another terrific recruit! One major reason I like Manuella: she has the look of an active rebounder.

Bostic and McKenzie are two players who hunt rebounds outside their immediate zone, extend possessions with offensive boards, and generally fight and win on the glass. Who replaces that kind of performance after this season?

Coaches will talk about rebounding being a team responsibility. As much as rebounding is stressed in team conversations, there are special players with a nose for the angles and positioning and a fire to go after the ball. Manuella appears to me, based on video, to be a player with the makings of that kind of special rebounding ability.

Always good to have an exhibition game. Coach was amped at the half and something tells me the topics in the meeting room centered around
DEFENSE! Certainly played tighter and shot better in the second half. KB is our Rock of Gibraltar. She is ready to go. Excited to see the depth Jasmine is going to bring to the guard position. Gretchen is a flat out scorer and Berry is going to be a steady contributor. It's time to tip off what could be a memorable season.
Lets go Illini!
