I’m watching the sleepers guys in a recent pod on YouTube. And they’re discussing an over/under for BU and how many final 4s he will get to. At one point in the discussion they drop information they believe BU will head to MSU after Izzo is gone…..WHAT!? Where did this come from I thought BU was gonna retire here. Sure hope that’s the case he’s built a winning brand here.
Brad doesn’t strike me as a guy eager to accept a downgrade.

Hopefully, you are correct, but how can anyone with that many letters in his name be a household name? I'm glad I am not the broadcaster!
If you are good enough, your first name becomes a household name.

Sleeper's had a nice comment on hearing IU schedule - paraphrasing, "wait, are you reading Kenpom 350 and down, or IU's schedule?"

I've heard arguments that weak schedule's are great for NET, but I'd love to see if that tracks. The thinking is that early in the season. It takes NET a while to figure out who's good, so the blow-outs help. If true, you could look week to week at teams with the lame schedules and see a downward trend.
Weak schedules can help NET if you beat those weak teams by 40-50.

That only helps you with NCAA seeding though if your entire conference does the same.

Because the committee doesn’t look at your NET ranking, they look at the NET rankings of the teams you beat and lost to.

It does seem to game the net ranking a bit. I think the Big12 was vastly overrated last year because a lot of those schools played extremely weak non con schedules which boosted their metrics and then by the time they got to conference play they were all Q1 which then boosts everyone's metrics when they start beating each other.

I'm going to be entirely honest, I don't think a single team in last years Big12 was as good as Illinois or Purdue. Iowa St played hard but Illinois was just flat out better and the only reason they hung around was because of ticky tack fouls on Shannon.

Kansas was bad last year, Houston was probably their best team but they were so incredibly small they realistically should have lost to A&M(Shead was special though). Baylor was incredibly soft.

Basically the B12 went out with a whimper and I don't even think it was a result of them being unlucky and getting bad draws.

Everyone talked about the B12 being the best conference last year but I legitimately think the B10, SEC, and Big East were all better. The ACC also was probably probably pretty similar to the B12.
