I would not ever claim that from a greatness perspective that Trent compares to TSJ, however when it comes to heart and bleeding orange and blue no one can begin to carry Trents gym bag. I have given up on ever seeing his jersey up there but his heart and soul do belong up there for all to remember the contributions he made to this program. I would be all for starting a Trent BB MVP Award each year.

The art of the mid range should never die..Just make the 3s harder for the other teams..With Ty he can post up many guards,drive past bigger guys..He does have to hit 3s enough to make it a question that he is capable..I believe with that offensive scoring punch,hed skyrocket up draft boards..

Trent was great but we’ve had a lot of Illini greats who don’t have their jersey hanging from the rafters. It’s a different criteria and level for TSJ, who broke records and we all know should be an All-American.
That is too funny, Jake Davis seems so much bigger than DGL.
Surprised Nick Anderson and Kendall Gill's jersey aren't in the rafters. #1 team for a short bit, but Final Four team. Many feel they were the most talented team that year. Both players were lotery picks and had long NBA careers, still active in basketball after their playing days.
