We better enjoy the rest of this year, as next years team will be much different. I think I will miss Trent most of all, and will miss Da'Monte too. I wish we could have had Alfonso for 4 years. We'll likely be without Kofi and Jacob too, which is basically our starting lineup. The future team and style of play will be different and our future is still bright.

As we go in to the B10 tourney & NCAA, remember to enjoy this ride and all the fun these kids gave us.

Last year we were white hot going into the BTT. Continuing to win even with Ayo out.

This year we are still a work in progress. Andre is slowly improving. At thsi point he can give us offense when Kofi is out of the game. If Andre can increased his court time from 20 ppg to 30 ppg it would really help. Hawkins improving is a real boost. Shame we lost RJ but Hawkins can take some his minutes. Would be nice for Goode to get back on track.

Wasn't sure where to put this but it seems Mike Davis has been back for a few months completing his degree and hanging around the program learning from the staff. Had no idea, but I'm glad to see him doing well!
Brian B. and Deon T. interviewed him at halftime of one of the last 4-5 games......another great reason to listen to the radio feed for every game .....JMHO

Was looking at big ten website and came across this ruling regarding co champions. It spells out that there are 2 methods that can be used - percentage points or:
  • 2) By having the best record when using the “games ahead/games back” method.
Last year we finished 16-4 and Michigan was 14-3. By the method described above, we were 0.5 games ahead of Michigan. Does anyone know if this rule was added after last year? It now states in the b10 website that the champion of either method will be named champion/co-champion.

Yes, it's a new rule in response to what happened last year.

Why are we always the reason why there are new rules? In three instances, we were on the wrong end by the old rule and now there is a new rule. Starting 1985, no team can play a regional on their home floor. In 2014, we have instant replay to check out of bounds call within 2 minutes and now we have this new ruling.

I'd call it opposite Wisconsin effect. Having absolutely and undeniably the worst luck ever.

The best part is when the out of bound replay bites us in the butt. Double awfulness. Can't wait for some weird illness to hit this team in 15 years and us not win the big ten because we can't play all the games and we're a half game back.

Why didn't he say January. February. Howard? Oh... right... but seriously, he's talking big game for a 16-12 team that's 10-8 in B1G play after being touted as the team to bear in not just the B1G, but the entire country.
Martelli made more NIT fields than NCAAs in his 24 years as HC at St.Johns. If that's how Hunter wants to spend his March, I support him.

I’m sure he didn’t mean it this way (or maybe he did), but I am the only one who initially thought he was throwing a little shade Howard’s way? I first read it as “sure we’ve struggled some, but now we have a good coach.”

Non P5 - I would consider post season in in over 50% of years a success.
Agreed. Plus, for a lot of those years Temple and I believe Xavier for at least some of them power houses in the conference. How often was A10 only a one or at best two bid conference during his time at St. Joe’s. Martelli is definitely a good coach and arguably a much better bench coach than Howard.

Don't forget instant replay in football after the Michigan game fumble calls in 2000

Let’s not forget the 2000 football game vs Michigan, which ushered in the era of instant replay.
