English Premier League 2024/25

Season starts this weekend so it's time for some predictions.

Who finishes top 4? Bottom 3?

How do the 3 newly promoted sides do?

I know that a lot of people are betting on Manchester City to repeat as champs but there's apparently quite a few people betting on them to be relegated, depending on how their FFP case goes.

Predictions are solely based "on the field" without any reference to potential off the field penalties.

Top 4, in order

Arsenal (yes, I think this is the year they finally get over the hump)
Manchester City
Spurs
Liverpool

Next 2 - Aston Villa, Manchester United

Relegated

Leicester City
Bournemouth
Ipswich Town (but I REALLY want them to stay up - I just don't think they will be pragmatic enough)

Biggest surprise - Crystal Palace makes the Conference League
Biggest disappointment - Brentford (I think they will be in the middle of a big relegation fight)

First coach sacked - Nuno at Nottingham Forest unless Eddie Howe takes a "jump before you're pushed" move to England national team coach

If Everton finish midtable, I'll be thrilled. They effectively made a one-for-one swap with Villa during the transfer window, which I thought was a bit odd to see in football. Manchester United tried to buy Branthwaite but Everton's transfer fee price was too high.

I must say I do find it rather humorous that, in recent years, Klopp complained how often Liverpool got slotted in the 12:30 PM UK kickoff time match and the first match they have without him in charge is that kickoff time.

Top 4:
Arsenal (hearing a lot more buzz this year and hope it finally comes true)
Man. City
Man. United
Spurs

next few (not in finishing order):
Aston Villa
Liverpool
Newcastle
West Ham

Relegated:
Leicester City
Southampton
Nottingham Forest

i think Ange and Ten Hag are getting their squads in order but Slot may take some time.

another setback

Yeah looks like it's gonna be another season of seeing my side try and avoid relegation. Defense has been awful, in part because Branthwaite is out injured right now. A lot of the Toffee supporters I talk with are getting frustrated at Dyche not starting some of the new players they brought in during the summer transfer window. He's somewhat couching it in the fact that some of them need more Premier League experience which sounds like a bunch of B.S.. Especially since a couple of them are coming in from Ligue 1 and the other is coming in from Serie A.

Everton really looks like they are in trouble. I watched bits and pieces of the game yesterday, and they are not anywhere close to even what I remember from Dyche at Burnley.

Wolves are also not looking good either. Chelsea ran right through them today, putting Wolves to the sword (I love that saying) 6-2.

Yeah, the 2nd goal that Pickford let in yesterday was inexcusable. Iroegbunam has looked good at least. I have no idea what Ndiaye, O'Brien, and Lindstrom have to do to get more playing time than they are now. Not having Branthwaite is an issue but their defense being this bad is just frustrating.

For someone known for screaming and yelling at his teammates, I sure hope he screamed at himself quite a bit for that one.

Oh he legit knew he effed up. He may have not verbally yelled out but I'm sure h was on the inside.

That being said, his yelling and screaming at his teammates is one of my favorite things about him.
