- ReliaQuest Bowl vs SEC, Tampa (Dec 31st, 11:00am CT, ESPN)

Win 2 more games, and I think the lowest Illini will fall is to Mayo Bowl or Music City Bowl. Really helps that B1G will likely get between 3-4 teams in the playoff.

I still think Minnesota ends 7-5 with losses to Penn State and @Wisconsin. I think Iowa has inside path to Citrus Bowl (assuming 4 B1G teams in playoff). We may very well got another shot at the Reliaquest Bowl if we take care of business.

At this point I'd rather them go 7-5 and not get absolutely boat raced by a decent SEC team. Give us another 7-5 Big12 or ACC team

I think Citrus is gone unless we win out and even then. Reliaquest I think may go for a different team if we are similarly situated which leads me to believe we are looking at Mayo or Music City. I think Iowa and depending on how they finish Minnesota have jumped us.

For now, yes; the Illini are in Mayo Bowl or Music City territory. It really comes down to how Minnesota finishes, as well as Illinois. I think Minnesota very well may lose two more times to finish at 7-5 (which Wisconsin team shows up in the last game will be interesting). Iowa is poised for Citrus Bowl if they win out (even if Illinois wins out) and Minnesota at Reliaquest as of now. I am completely fine with either Mayo Bowl or Music City Bowl, as they would likely result in a more winnable type bowl game.
