Years back, Mrs. Illiniguy74 and I attended a football game at Louisville in Papa John's Stadium. We were both surprised by the name.

I know some (many?) don't like Johnson for their own reasons (writing style, personal, etc.). As for me, I find his info and especially stories interesting (assuming they are true).

I think a logical question to ask is whether a fan base identifying its school as a 'basketball school" is counterproductive to said school's ability to succeed in football. All other things being equal, as a recruit, would you want to sign with a school (fan base) that actively promotes itself...
