This morning the university made the official announcement that the Chief will no longer perform at Illini athletic events, as a result the U of I will be able to host post-season NCAA championship events. The Chief will perform two more times at men's basketball halftime: Sunday (the Northwestern game) and Wednesday (against Michigan).
