5 To Go
February 8, 2007 10:47 PM
Don't look now but Illinois is making a late-season charge for the NCAA tournament. Wednesday
the Illini won their 3rd-straight in conference, topping Northwestern at Evanston 58-43.
The stars of the night were Rich McBride (5-11 3pt, 15 points), Warren Carter (7-10 FG, 17 points),
and Shaun Pruitt (13 points, 15 rebounds).
With 5 games remaining and only 1 more loss to give to reach 10-6 in conference, the question is: can Illinois beat Indiana and/or Iowa on the road? I say no in IU and yes to Iowa, and just pencil in wins against NW, Mich, and @PSU. Go Illini!
