Jamar Smith Injures Ankle in Season Opening Blowout

Lots of positives in Illinois' 80-35 season-opening runaway against Austin Peay, but the big nagging negative was Jamar Smith limping off to the bench with an injured ankle. Smith led all scores with 19. Coach Bruce Weber said they think it's just a sprain and they'll do x-rays tomorrow to be sure. Recap. Thread.
Update: Jamar will be out 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.
