Minnesota Gophers

Throwback uniforms, alumni games, hundreds of former players, and Lou Henson. It was as full a day of Illinois basketball as one could ask for on Saturday. Only cause for complaint was Ron Zook's lack of orange apparel when he rallied the fans at halftime (he'll learn soon enough that we take our orange very seriously). In other news, Illinois defeated the Minnesota Gophers 89-66 to cruise to 21-0.

After the final horn sounded, the scoreboard stayed at "00.0" for 3 full seconds before resetting to 10:00.
