It was during a series in September 2003. Haren and Clement both got hit by pitches by each other. Each of the sides got warned after Clement was hit. There was also issues the night before with Kerry Wood throwing at Matt Morris.
Break out the Champagne!! Any improvement and step forward is welcome, hope it continues.

BenFred: Normally, optimistic injury updates about Cardinals can be dismissed. Not with Contreras.
Willson Contreras said his return from an arm fracture could come sooner than expected, and here's why his optimism should be taken a little differently than previous happy injury talk.
Contreras has become one of my favorite Cardinals players.......tough dude...........
I am very encouraged by the performance of Mr. Burleson this season........I called earlier in the season for him to get more playing time as I think he is a player who can sustain a better than average performance if he got regular AB's and he is showing he can be an offensive force.......
I fully expect he will be the starting 1st baseman next season for the Cardinals........I really really do.......JMHO.................

Watching the Pirates - cubbies game and I sure wish we could have signed he lefty Imanaga.........he has a devastating split finger fastball......................
Watched the same 2 teams yesterday and Skenes for the Pirates is the real deal........Lots of movement on his fastball and he has a funky screwball type pitch that bores in on right handed batters........great off speed and slider type pitches also...........
great velo too , over 100 MPH on a lot , I mean a lot of pitches ..........he will be a thorn in the sides of all the central Division foes for years to come , barring an injury..........Young , big and very talented .............must be nice...........

Cardinals win 7-2 over the Red Sox......I can get used to this run scoring offensive outburst...18 runs in 2 games against the team with the best ERA in MLB....
Color me impressed with the turn around and scoring runs with singles and doubles.....

I'm not a huge fan of the city connect jerseys overall, but if this is us, I'm fine. They are not overly gaudy. They look like us and like we take uniforms seriously in which this franchise does.

Not bad. Certainly better than most other teams.
