After all these years, I still can't abide aluminum bats. Just the sound irritates me: Ting! Can't they do something, insert a damper or something, to make it sound like a hardball on a Louisville Slugger?

Wow - almost two Grand Slams in one inning. It's a romp!

How did we build this Big Ten Championship team? I peeked at the roster and I don't think it was due to NIL and D1 transfers. Maybe a couple of Junior College guys? They're monsters at the plate.

I know that the basketball tourney dropped the concept of last ten games. Basically how you finish is no more important than how you start. Hopefully baseball allows for that in which case we'd be a lock.

The Illini will be a 3 seed if they make the tournament. That's the equivalent of like a 10 seed in basketball. The Big 10 is not a good baseball conference.
