For all the narrative here about BU insisting on defense, I think he's actually more offense-oriented than most college ball coaches. Virtually all coaches are sticklers for defense to a certain degree (because a player's shot might not be "on" every day, but his defensive effort can be) But...

You likely watch more than me, so I'll take your word for it. I've only seen a few Youtube clips and he didn't play much D nor did he look very explosive run-jump wise. For sure he's a unicorn as far as offensive skills. It's almost comical how good his offensive skills are. Like "Is...

My worries aren't just chemistry. Have you watched Riley's clips? As incredible as he is offensively, he hardly plays defense. And he's not a particularly good run/jump athlete, so even if motivated I'm not sure he'd be a strong defender. And defense IMO is a worry with next year's team...

That's who I thought of when watching his clips. I think he might be even more skilled offensively than Durant at the same age. But not nearly as athletic or long-armed. That said, I don't think we'll get him and if we happened to, I would have some worries.

I'm guessing he repeats or even improves it. A lot of the improvement came from better shot selection. He could be an important part of a very good team. He needs to go to a really good team that badly needs a versatile PF. Obviously he wants to get a nice NLI package, but if I were him I'd...

If he continues to improve as much as he did between years 3 and 4, he will be a heck of a player, alpha or not. He should go somewhere like UConn where he has a chance to win it all. Make a lot of money and win a championship would be good justifications for a 5th year of college.

Riley is an offensive savant. He doesn't look particularly athletic, but he's just incredibly skilled at getting the ball through the basket in so many ways (w/o dunking!) I can't remember seeing a prep player who can do the things he does. You do have to wonder if defense would be an issue...

Maybe as much as Podz blowing up at UCSB hurt us. Kids frequently improve from year to year. Coleman improved a lot from year 3 to year 4 and he could continue in that trend. Podz of course is on a whole different level and in isolation I don't think his experience looks great for BU. But...

Yup. We have 6 front court players who could start at a lot of good programs. None may be a standout at this time, but they’re all quality players. Hum is the only one that’s highly likely to start. Along with him I’d say Ivisic and Ty, but it could just as easily be Morez and Tre.

If it includes guys who have already landed somewhere, 22 seems more than fair. But of guys still left, he’s right near the top.

DGL should get plenty of PT. If, say Kylan and KJ both start and average 28-30 mpg, that leaves 20-24 mpg for DGL. Ty might be the best rebounder for his size that I've seen since D. Rodman. With bigs like Ivisic, Hum, and Booth that like to step out and pop from 3, Ty can work quite well.

Another reason I think he'll start is his attitude. With the other starters all newcomers, you want a guy with his tough, scrappy attitude to lead/influence the others. It's certainly possible that (like last year) he frequently doesn't finish games. But it's also possible that he extends his...

Yes Morez and DGL also. And I'm not putting it past Ty to develop a shot. He improved his FT % a fair amount from FR to Soph year. It's not impossible that he develops a jumper. But IMO he needs to work more at first on a 6-12 ft jumper. Then gradually extend it out to the 3-point line.

I agree with you on Ty. Hopefully his attitude is contagious with the other guys. Say you have Ivisic, Hum, KJ, and Kylan on the floor (all projected starters). All are good shooters and overall skilled players. But not really scrappy junkyard dog types as far as I can tell. Ty would fit a...

Yeah, after Kylan and KJ (who absent injury are virtual locks) Ben is the most likeliest guy to start. Unless we get Riley (which IMO is very unlikely) - that would throw a monkey wrench into predicting starters.
